Keepsakes
Digital images, 2024
This photographic series archives worn childhood comfort objects, suspended in a studio space to visualise nostalgia from an adult perspective. The work reflects the growing distance from childhood and the loss of innocence and domestic comfort associated with home. Informed by Generation Zās disrupted transition into adulthood during COVID-19, these weathered objects act as residual forms of security. Marked by time, touch, and affection, their material decay documents emotional attachment, memory, and the quiet persistence of childhood into adult life.
