As a member of Generation Z, I've observed firsthand the unconventional path we were thrown onto as we entered adulthood, shaped heavily by COVID-19. Our transition from high school into the complexities of grown-up life was marked by uncertainty, with many of us retreating to the familiar embrace of home during lockdown. As we moved into adulthood, most of us carried remnants of our childhood with us—a kind of security blanket. Thinking about my own blanket, weathered by time and overworked by love and constant touch, I became captivated by the narrative of decay and resilience held within these relics of our youth. In this series, I aimed to archive these cherished childhood artefacts and evoke a bittersweet blend of nostalgia and displacement.
